Learning the Dynamics of Democracy in the Nation’s Capital
Our goal is to create expert problem-solvers who know how to get the best results through effective
action as lawyers. We’re training lawyers not only to navigate the twists and turns of legislative,
administrative, and judicial process, but to master the broader institutional forces that come to
shape the law, including politics, the media, the bar, lobbying entities, public opinion, and the
marketplace. In the Program on Law and Government, we’re building not just public lawyers but public
leaders.
